“Tables” rescue food before it is wasted and give it to the needy.

The new minister, Cem Özdemir, commented as follows on the government website “Food waste is a big problem, which must be urgently addressed, particularly in view of the climate crisis – and indeed everywhere where food is actually being wasted”.

Run through the donor gate in Mühlstraße and support the Tübingen Table with your donation!

"Last year, the Erbe Run lived up to its name. It took place around the Erbe company grounds and was the fastest run in its 28-year history due to the route. As the name sponsor, we are nevertheless happy that this largest sporting event in Tübingen can return to the city centre and that the run will take place on the traditional route, with minor changes due to construction work. We are looking forward to an exciting event in hopefully the best weather. The Erbe Roadrunners, as the largest corporate team in recent years, have already resumed their training for the run."

Organizer and host

The Tübingen Erbe-Run is organised by the University of Tübingen and its Institute for Sports Science (IfS) in close cooperation with the host from LAV Stadtwerke Tübingen.

Students have been involved in the organisation of the event, enabling them to gather initial practical professional experience in the conceptualisation, planning, implementation and evaluation of a sporting event.

Involvement in the event can count towards grades for Bachelor students in their key qualification modules at the university of Tübingen (minimum 5 CP to a maximum of 10 CP). Get involved with the Organisation team!

The helpers

Without the tireless involvement of the many helping hands who work together and contribute significantly to the success of the event, the Tübingen Erbe-Run could not take place.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank every past and present helper most sincerely, most of whom are from local Tübingen associations and many of whom have been with us since the start.

A sincere THANK YOU to the LAV City Works Tübingen, the Post Office Tübingen, the SV 03 sports club, the Tübingen “TSG”, the “RV Pfeil” Tübingen, the Pathfinder Entringen, the Family and Mother centre in Entringen, the specialist clinic in Tübingen, the Geschwister-Scholl School, the Wildermuth Gymnasium, the Uwe Jansen Cabinet maker company… and every other individual we haven’t mentioned by name!
